The mission of the Mentor Youth Hockey Booster Club (MYHBC) is to foster and promote the Mentor Youth Hockey program within the community. We aim to grow the program while developing young athletes and responsible citizens.
Throughout the year, the MYHBC holds events to raise funds and build awareness. The money raised by these events help to offset program costs such as ice time and tournament costs. Our efforts culminate in March when we host our annual “Ice of March” tournament from which we derive most of our proceeds. This tournament, which draws teams from several states, requires the assistance of many volunteers.
Our desire is to raise money without constantly turning to the program’s families. The more successful our events are, the more successful the program will be and the less you will need to pay for your player’s experience. By volunteering your time with the booster club, you are contributing directly to the success of the hockey program.
The booster club is run by a board which meets the 1st Monday of every month at the Mentor Civic Ice Arena. Please join us and bring your ideas to help improve and grow the program.
We look forward to your involvement!
